The Lady Redskins, last Thursday night, swept a GTC crossover match at Pigeon-Laker, 25-20, 25-16, 25-19.

“The girls looked good...they played hard,” praised Miranda Wolf, Sandusky coach. “We had to play without Madysen Jansen (starting libero) but the girls stepped up and came away with the win. We are very optimistic about the season.”

Steady serving all night helped Sandusky keep control of the match. Junior Gabrielle Gough led the way with 17 service points, including two aces. Olivia Jacobson followed with 13 points (2 aces) while Taylor Calkins and Callie Jacobson were next with 12 and 11 points (2 aces apiece).

Gough also led in kills with 12 while Haley Nelson added seven kills and three blocks. Callie Jacobson, a setter, had 16 assists.
