They keyed in on the puzzle

Photo by Erin Carlson Photo by Erin Carlson Sandusky High School teacher Erin Carlson turned her junior English classroom into an Escape Room on the first day of school last week. Students had to complete work in different stations to earn pieces of a puzzle. The puzzle revealed a clue to where the key was hidden. The key unlocked the lock on Carlson’s classroom door. “It was a lot of fun, gave me an idea where the kids were at in their abilities to solve different types of questions, and provided essential team building skills,” said Carlson. Only one team solved the final clue. Left to right, puzzle solvers Joanna Solley, Emma Roggenbuck, Shelby Tracy, David Leen and Emily Hendra, all in the 11th grade.
